Young agriculturists from Sher e Bangla Agricultural University built a agriculture consultant farm, named Nagarkrishi
Abu Noman Sayem, Mahfuj Muntasir, Abu Yusuf Sihab some of energetic learners thinking about new innovation at the field of Agriculture. They thought they would made urban agriculture more convenience for city people, so they created Nagarkrishi in January, 2016.
At starting, some of university friends criticize them for being diverse work. But they were not feel hesitate to go ahead. So, they try to best for forming their dream structure.
They work on rooftop gardening, landscaping, decorating corridor, office- site by green architect. They consult with nature loving people for their agriculture related query. They made stall at National Environmental Fair, where they displayed recycling process of many agriculture waste product like, plastic bottle made seat, mini hydroponics project, vermicompost, miniature Bonshai, readymade mixture of soil by compost fertilizer.
They also visited more than 50 rooftop gardening for consulting with them and provide information about organic farming. They performed workshop named, Little Farmer with collaboration with Anowar-manaf School, where they try to children to familiar with nature, they guided the kiddies how to planting also display them the Butterfly Kit. They work with green architect and landscaping farm IKABANA Ltd with effort of DNCC for making livable and green Dhaka City.
Dr. Noman Faruque, Associate Professor at SAU highly appreciate the act of Nagar-krishi he said that “ the Nagar-krishi entrepreneurs are early aged, young and studied only honors level, but they are highly energetic and active. They active to help the marginal farmers by provide information, also they thinking secure food for city people”.
